One anticipated console which few people are to know about is the PSP which stands for Playstation Portable. Sony is entering the hand held game market in the winter of 2004 with the PSP. It has a backlit 16:9 widescreen LCD, a Universal Media Device (UMD) which can store 1.8GB of data on a disc thats half the size of a CD. It will support Sony's own ATRAC sound format, used in Mini Discs. It will also have a secure ROM cartridge to aid in Anti-Piracy.
